KATHERINE CORNELIUS DIEPOLD
Katherine Cornelius Diepold was presented with a unique opportunity last year when her family decided to create and sell products from their lavender farm in Northwest Washington. Using the time and resoures that graduate school offers, Katherine focused on creating the identity and packaging for the company’s upscale personal care product line. Exploring typography, packaging, illustration, and branding, she unified the visual and verbal voice of all components to create a cohesive identity system. A real-world endeavor such as this involves much more than creating the look and feel of a product line. To be viable in the marketplace required a full understanding of broader business issues, such as the competitive landscape, consumer demand, and product and brand marketing, in addition to the requisite design style, packaging, and presentation. |
