Soon after recieving her bachelor’s degree in English, Kelley realized she’d much rather design books than write them. After attending the Radcliffe Publishing Course, she joined the art department at Viking Children’s Books, where she designed and art directed novels, picture books, and board books. But anxious to learn, try, and do more, she lef the City for MICA in 2006, where learned how to merge literary and visual skills in new and quikry ways. Those experiments ultimately led to this thesis, and the realization that though she may not want to chart herself ever again, there are many more forms and ideas in this area that she's anxious to explore.
