The Hive: Collections by Laure Drogoul
Laure Drogoul is a collector: ephemera, essences, discarded bits and pieces of civilization and all things that fall through the cracks--the neglected and under appreciated. Preserving and accumulating on shelves, in drawers and in niches, these things inhabit and enrich her daily life, ultimately becoming another layer in her work. The Hive creates a space within the gallery, a cabinet of curiosities, where Drogoul's pseudo-scientific art explorations of the mythical, bizarre, and fanciful engage in dialogue with her collections.
